Albania: Laundry - A public affair

Doing laundry is almost a public affair with the clothes being dried on balconies or in open spaces. Privacy is turned inside>>out and personal preference are on display in contrast to closed doors and windows. Cloth pins and drying lines as well as water tanks are the utilities for doing laundry and are visible throughout the streets and back alleys of Bajram Curri in Albania.
